Day 3: Sesriem

From there, you'll visit Dead Vlei, a surreal, ancient clay pan surrounded by towering dunes. The stark, white cracked earth and the haunting silhouettes of dead camelthorn trees create a scene that feels almost otherworldly - one of the most photographed spots in the world. As you walk through this eerie yet stunning environment, the play of light and shadow on the dunes will leave you mesmerized.

Day 5: Departure

On your final day in Windhoek, you have the option to either return your rental vehicle to the car rental depot or continue your journey through Namibia on your own arrangements. If you're returning the vehicle, after breakfast, you'll drive to the car rental depot where you'll complete the necessary paperwork and drop off your vehicle. This is a smooth and straightforward process, ensuring that all your travel arrangements are in order before you depart.

 

If you choose to continue your travels, you have the freedom to embark on your next adventure, whether it’s heading off to another destination in Namibia or exploring more of Windhoek and the surrounding areas. You may decide to drive to nearby attractions like the charming town of Okahandja, known for its craft markets, or the majestic Waterberg Plateau with its rich wildlife and panoramic views. Alternatively, you might opt for a scenic drive to discover more of Namibia’s hidden gems at your own pace.
